It is manufactured from a showerproof polyester canopy and features a solid frame with steel ribs and a steel mechanism to prevent it from blowing inside out. It has a slide-out painted steel shaft with a rounded point for pushing into sand and soft ground, as well as a lock that allows the length to be adjusted as required. The lower part of the shaft slides easily back into the upper shaft when not in use. The umbrella folds down to fit into its compact carry case, which includes a handy shoulder strap for convenience.
