Promotional pencils are wooden/paper writing instruments that contain graphite inside. They work by physical abrasion and leaving a trail of graphite behind. These pencils are commonly given away free of charge and used as a marketing tool to increase brand awareness.
In this category, the two types of pencils you will find are branded carpenters pencil as well as your standard lead pencil that is commonly used by students. There are options made from recycled paper, wood as well as full-sized and half-sized. Some of the branded pencils also come with an eraser at the end.
